Reflecting on my experience as a business owner, and looking honestly at both my successes and my missteps, I realized I could have saved a lot of time, money and frustration if I had known in advance about the mistakes other entrepreneurs have made. Instead of yet another “Follow my Formula to Business Success” book, I wanted to read a realistic, gutsy account of the business disasters other entrepreneurs have encountered. I wanted to learn how they picked themselves up and either made the company work, or cut their losses and decided to go in a different direction.

Since I couldn’t find that book, I’ve decided to create it, and I need your help. I’m currently working on Confessions of Entrepreneurs, a compilation of stories from small business owners in a variety of fields. We can probably agree that we have all learned much more from our “failures” then our successes, which means they haven’t really been failures at all. Sharing the wisdom gained from those experiences will provide a realistic, practical and priceless guide for other entrepreneurs who are eager to learn from you.

I invite you to share your stories with me about some of the mistakes you have made, and the top three things you wish you would have known before you launched your business. You will be credited for your contribution, and I will include your contact information and website link. You also have the option of being anonymous.

Thank you for your consideration and your expertise!
